Cartoon Network Thundercats Display At SDCC 2011

Posted on July 22, 2011 at 11:52 am by Joe Moore under Thundercats Conventions News

Cartoon Network had a very nice Thundercats display at San Diego Comic-Con 2011. They had all of the previously announced Thundercats 2011 figures on display. They also had some of the original Thundercats toys on display, though it does not appear to be for reissues (bummer). There is a fantastic look at some of the casting masters used to create some of the upcoming role-play toys, as well as production notes on some of the toys.

Nice pictures. It's nice to see the originals put on display for comparison. It's just too bad they aren't being reissued. It's also nice to see the 4" scaled figures next to their 6" scaled brethren. Makes deciding between the two scales a little harder, lol.

That hand-crafted Sword of Omens looks beautiful. Wish I was there so I could enter to win one of them. While it's not comparable, that free foam sword would be worth it, lol.

I really, really can't wait to get my hand on those figs. I think Lion O and the Twins will be my first purchases.
