Thundercats Magazine First Issue From the 80s – Detailed Look

Posted on July 28, 2011 at 11:08 am by Tony_Bacala under Thundercats Merchandise News

A special treat today. Thanks to staff member DESTRO, and one of his contacts, we have a look at a blast from the past. The official Thundercats Magazine, issue 1, from the 80s! Included were stories and activities for kids, a fold out map of 3rd Earth, lots of advertisements for 80s stuff, including Silverhawks (coming this fall…!!!), and a mini-comic (pics inside of all pages)!

We have scanned in the cover, and taken pictures of the interior pages for you. Check them all out by clicking the title and reading the full story.

Enjoy!

Crazy stuff, looking at all the ads for the 80s stuff like it's brand spanking new. The map is cool too.

Let us know what you think, we have some more and will be scanning/camera-ing them in the coming days and weeks.

That's awesome. Would definitely love to see any more you guys have. Sort of reminds me of this magazine my sisters and I used to get when we were young. Can't recall the name of it though (there's bound to be someone on here who would know it, lol...).

I most especially love the map. That's a poster I would love to get a copy of. Thanks for the scan. A print-out of that will be good to have (I just hope my printer has enough color ink in it, lol).

Thank you for posting this! I remember my older brother and I had a couple issues of the magazine, was awesome as a kid. Thanks for posting the ad's too -- I love the nostalgia of it all. Hope to see more!
