Great news. Do we know if that count of 52 includes season one's episodes? Either way it's still great news, though if it doesn't include season one's episodes, that would be even greater news

I am betting the 52 episodes include the 26 already ordered for season 1.

it is great we are getting 52 episodes. I want more though!!!!!

It would be nice if they crafted the story for the 52 episodes and if they get more do another story.

I heard that each 26 episode stretch will deal with a particular story arc - like this one seems to be about finding those stones, with a few side plots as well.

But yeah, it would be cool if it went beyond 52, but at least we know we're gonna get that much guaranteed

Well, fans of the 2002 Masters of The Universe cartoon (which, IMO, was as good an update as T-Cats) only limped to 39 episodes before cancellation of it and the concurrent toyline, so I don't think it was a guarantee that Thundercats would get at least 52 episodes.

But I'm very happy with this. This new series has got off to a fantastic start, and knowing there are at least 40+ more stories to experience in this universe is compelling. Let's hope it's a huge success and goes even longer!

Good point on the MOTU thing. I really liked that reboot too and it was a shame it got canceled. Didn't it always struggle a little bit though? I can't remember.
