Our sister site, Toyark.com, live blogged the Minimates panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2012. At the very end, Diamond Select Toys talked about the Thundercats Minimates. Here’s some info:
• Icon Heroes approached DST to produce the Thundercats Minimates
• Plan is to continue to do 4-packs of the characters
• Next set (possibly next 2 sets) will be available at New York Comic-Con from AFX
• No vehicles planned. But the Minimates are in scale with Icon Heroes Thundercats vehicle statues
• Mumm-Ra The Ever Living Planned for Wave 4 (pic after the jump)
If you haven’t seen them already, check out the next two series of figures by Clicking Here. See the slides presented for Thundercats by reading on.

Well, making them available at just Toy Fair is plain dumb
That version of Mumm-ra actually gets a cape and the sword of plun-darr, but a bandai 6" figure, oh no.
Any chance these are available in stores?
In hindsight WB should have licensed Bandai for the new figures, and someone else to do the classics line. My only hope for new classic 6" figures is WB handing the license over to someone else. Hopefully it's not one of those contract deals where Bandai gets to sit on the license until 2014 or something.
Im tempted to try and grab these.
Since there are limited answers as to where and when these will be made available, I pulled the trigger and grabbed a set on ebay for a pretty reasonable price.
These minimates are simply amazing. And, unlike Bandai, they already Know and make it open they'll be making 4 waves. For me I love mumm ra and so wave 4 with the man transformed will make an amazing addition
[QUOTE=AlexofThundera;58581]That's because the guys behind the minimates are actually excited about the line as opposed to Bandai.
I had guessed that the people at Bandai didn't care about Thundercats. That's why they didn't seem to make a very good attempt at helping the line succeed. It's much better when you know that some of the people who work for the toy companies are actually passionate about Thundercats and consumers of the products themselves and know what the fans want. That way you would have people on the inside promoting better ideas, saying what the fans say and will do everything in their power to help the product succeed.
Just ordered the first set from AFX. Came to $29 shipped, a lil ouch but totally worth it. Can't wait for the next packs.
I ordered 2 sets this morning. I'm debating getting the thundertank to go with them, but I think I'll wait and see how much I end up spending at hasbrotoyshop first.
Did you guys order the T-Cats set straight from the AFX website?
I bought the on Ebay for 19.99 plus 6.90 shipping
I'm hoping the minimates are successful enough where we get a set with Pumyra, Bengali and Lynx-O.
Yeah, we have to see Bengali, Pumyra and Lynx-O for sure. I am hoping they are the other three in the Wave 4 set with Mumm-ra the Everliving. I'm assuming Ma-mutt will come with that set too.

as a side note...
If anyone has any questions in regards to Minimates, feel free to ask me. I have collected them for several years and have over 400. If you want to find out more info on Minimates go here.

The Thundercats minimates made me want to collect the real ghostbusters minimates. I love how the animation style transfers perfectly on to the details of these figures. I plan on getting all the Thundercats sets.
I've seen mini-mates for years but these are so well done, that I had to get them.
