Forum member King Khan has let us know that his company, Journeys Shoes, will exclusively carry some Officially Licensed Thundercats Shoes. I talked to King Kahn and he was able to share some extra details about these unique items.
The shoes will be produced by Converse. There are Hightop Thundercats Sneakers for the guys and a pair of Cheetara themed shoes for the ladies! The Cheetara shoes feature felt around the cheetah spots for added detail and texture.
The shoes hit Journeys Shoes stores and website on June 1st, 2012. They will retail for $59.99. These are also limited in quantities, so be sure to get your orders in quickly if you want to own a pair. It is known that the logos on the characters are all backwards. Unfortunately, that was the way the art that was provided to Converse and approved by the licensors, which Journey’s has no control over.
Check out the photos by clicking the headline of the story.

We are doing Thundercats Converse shoes. A hightop with the main heroes and one just for the ladies.
These are exclusive to Journeys and come out in June.
Enjoy!!

Those are pretty sweet. May picks up the low top logo for me and the low top Cheetara for the wife.
How come the low top logo have spots?
Balgus82 says
I do hope the Cheetara shoe was reversed in the photo. otherwise the Thundercats symbol is backwards.
Cool shoes though. I'd almost want the guy's shoe without the characters and only with the symbol on it. That symbol looks awesome.

The shoe has spots because it is the other side of the cheetara shoe.

Sorry, but the fanboy in me has to cringe at that. the cat in the symbol should always face left.
Now that I look closer Lion-O and Tygra's symbols are reversed too. :/
Sorry not trying to be mean or anything.

Ah to bad. If the low top came I. All black with the logo and rays coming out I would have bought them in an instant. Probably wont buy them now.

I'm In for the mens to wear and maybe a extra and a set of womens to collect but why are the logos backwards? Really weird, I'd be more confutable spending if the logos are corrected
Edit: just realized tygras nose is unpainted too. Is that final as well?
japanrl says
Logo might be reversed for copyright reasons?
Covenant says
Nah, just lazy designers flopped the original artwork and probably have no idea who or what the Thundercats are so they never noticed the logo. Other than that though the shoes look very nice. I think the Cheetara shoe is better than the high top.
Balgus82 says
Maybe it's that the image is correct on one foot and mirrored on the other and they just photographed the reversed foot? *shrugs* If that's the case I can almost understand it.
king kahn says
This is the final version for each shoe. The art was given to Converse and was approved by the rights holders.

There's a Journey's right by my house. Even though the logos are backwards, I think I will still pick a pair of the guys shoes up.

I hope I didn't do anything negative by pointing out the logos. They really are nice looking shoes and I hope they do well. More Thundercats merchandise bought means more Thundercats merchandise can be made in the future.
What sizes will they be available in?

What sizes will they be available in?
Men's shoes usually from sizes 6 to 12 and Women's 5 to11.
Kregermeister says
Am I really the only one who has more of a issue with Tygras nose than the logo....? Im still buying em, but probably just 1 pair now if this is the final product. Just the fact we're getting these is good enough for me, because the 4 year old in me misses my velcro Thundercats shoes from Keds.
JASONKAT says
These are really kool for collectors. I on the other hand, would have loved it if they sold em showing the cat icon alone, in other words, as pictured in 2 and 4. (all blk, with the cat logo.) Other wise i think id like to childish wearing thiese in public, might as well buy me sum flashing light batman shose at payless. lol
southpawdragon says
same here i prefer just the cat logo
king kahn says
Good news! The backwards logos have been fixed on the shoes!

I see the hightops on Journeys website..When are the lowtops releasing?!?!
Joe Moore says
Saw the high tops yesterday at a Journeys store. They looked pretty bad ass. $60 is a bit too much for me to justify on sneakers I would never wear, but they did look fantastic.
Kregermeister says
Just picked up a pair. These run really weird in size. Im normally a 12 in EVERYTHING, I was a 10 in these. Very narrow too.
But whatever, its Thundercats shoes! Id cut my god damn feet off to wear them considering I havent been able to wear Tcats shoes since age 3! They come in a pretty cool box too with the logo and title on the top.

Just noticed these are on sale at converse.com
29.00 for all three styles.
