Ok just from that little snipit I am loving this, however is the first season going to be set on Thundera or New Earth, because that is looking like Thundera, I don't mind and can't wait to see the series, and I want to know who the little fat cat thing is with the knife.
Icespark says
Thank you for finding the trailer!
The animation looks pretty good so far. I especially like the how nicely the color palette stands out.
Of course, the writing is what's going to determine the series. So far, this looks to be rather interesting; everything shown appeared to be set on Thundera. It also looked kind of like there was some type of competition between Lion-O and Tygra.
It's also nice to see that Tygra has retained his ability to turn invisible.
I saw Cheetara, Snarf, and the Twins, but, is it just me, or was Panthro not shown in the trailer? Perhaps I missed him.
Judging solely by what was shown in this trailer, it also kind of looks like Grune will be the head villain for a little while, before Mumm-Ra make eventual appearance.
Seeing Claudis, I'm now even more looking forward to hearing Larry Kenny's portrayal for him!
A small detail I also notice; there were no vocal parts in this trailer; no speech at all. I wonder why?
Finally, the music sounded good; hopefully, the rest of the score will turn out just as nice.

ThIs is going to be awesome!!! Really looking forward to this!!
DESTRO says
That's going to be epic!
Tony_Bacala says
AWESOME.
Wayyy better than what I was expecting. Striking a good tone, very "Epic" in nature.
Let's hope they can keep up that tone and quality for 26/52 episodes.
BRING IT!
talon84 says
You're welcome

Looks like this is going to be one great show. Can't wait to finally see the first episode. I just hope CN gives it a good slot. Between this and TFP, it looks like I might be watching more cartoons this year than movies, lol.
marv says
Wow, that looks amazing.
Thanks
GrenadierStinny says
Looks fantastic! I am really looking forward to this new cartoon! Hopefully it can balance the adult audience content with the kid content-- much like GI Joe: Renegades does.
wizzra says
poor Ted Wolf, must be turning in his grave by this new tcats designs!
dolza_khyron says
yay for thunder kitties action!
Lynx-0 says
That's a short clip? That's more than a minute! A minute of awesomeness. Seems very epic, as others have stated already. But I've heard that music from somewhere....I forget where.
Transformed says
Holy heck, did they just show Tundera?!
Count me among the excited! This looks way better than I thought it would ever be. When does this start? This fall?
Ratar-O says
I am beyond excited, I can't wait to see this series. I am so excited that I feel like running down the steps yelling "Thundercats Hooooo!" However I was just informed by my wife that if I was to do that I would have to sleep on the couch...lol
GK Punk says
Thanks for posting that better clip! This looks so great, I really can't wait for it.
Alluro says
That said, the show does look great. I definitely am enjoying the serious tone it seems to suggest, and it looks like the animation will be reasonably high quality. I really hope we learn the voice casting soon, though.
dolza_khyron says
wait wait wait; the swords "thunder/lightning" clash, with each other, what did the first one NOT rip off star wars enough?
Snarfer says
This looks much better than the figures made it out to be.
I'm still not that fond of Lion-O, but Cheetara looks much better than I thought she would turn out based on her figure alone.
I'm actually more excited for this series now.
I really guess you can't judge a book by its cover, or in this case a cartoon by its action figures.
Pravus Prime says
Looks good, though I am reminded of MYP's animation style. It also looks like they're going to spend a lot of time on Thundera developing backstory and characters.
Joe Moore says
One of the things that WB said when they announced the series was that the original was too convoluted. They wanted to simplify the overall story by keeping it on a single planet.
GK Punk says
I'm cool with that. I was actually hoping they would so this time around.
JohnnyAngel77 says
This is shaping up to be an awesome reboot of the show. I cannot wait to see more and get the freakin toys in my hands.
dragon says

That trailer looked fucking AWESOME. Can't wait to see this.
JohnnyAngel77 says
I've watched it at least 7 or 8 times now. I like it a little more each time too.
Mako Crab says
The high color saturation in some scenes (blue and red) coupled with the character designs, which have a much more rounded, softer feel to the faces, makes me think back to anime from the 80s. Back before anime was widely known and popular. It makes me think of anime like Record of Lodoss War or The Dirty Pair. This makes me happy. It feels like I'm stepping back in time, except this new ThunderCats looks to have much better animation. The trailer also gives me the sense that they're going to do a lot of world-building and we'll get to see more of Thundera and how that society is, which was always a little nebulous on the original show. All in all, it's shaping up to be an exciting premier.

80s anime is what got me in to anime. For me the 80s-mid 90s is my favorite era.
dolza_khyron says
80's and 90's anime is still the best. hell, look at DBZ it gets a new dub every now and then just to keep the show on the air. and IT was started in the 80's! LOL!
spike78a says
i love how they made Claudius look just like the original Lion-O. that and the fact that Larry Kenney is voicing Claudius is great nod to the first show.
ultramaximus says
Wow. It looks pretty epic and VERY Japanese. The cats look a little more like elves to me though. Very good animation. Interested in seeing the show. Lion-O is the only one I'm not real impressed with though.
Quantum says
After watching that clip, I am soooooooooo damn excited for this to air. Also I am now very excited for the 6" series figs. Was not too keen on them on first viewing, and was wishing the classic line was 6" rather than 8, but now I'm stoked to have the new incarnations set-up with my DCUC, MOTUC, and NECA Ninja Turtles.
Was also cool to see Wily Kit and Kat! I hope they end up with prominent roles later in the season/show.
Also am dying to see Bengali!

Just watched again on the CN YT channel. That music is so kick ass.
Transformed says
Thanks for the link (US only one and international one ) When does this show start?!
I like the Middle Eastern music added to the music. I just wonder if this is typical trailer music or the actual music that'll be used in the show--I hope the latter as it is GOOD!
I cannot wait for this show to start. Damn it Cartoon Network, screw the hype get it started!
Lody says
Well it looks like they are going to be filling in the back story from the begining. Very cool. Will be interesting to see how Grune turns out and how he died.
