ToyWiz has posted a listing for upcoming Thundercats Trading Cards. According to the listing, the cards are set to ship in January (the site says 2011, but these were just added recently, so I’m assuming the year is a flub). There will be 60 regular trading cards as well as 12 holographic foil cards in the box. Each box will contain 12 packs. Each pack will contain 8 cards, with one of those being a holographic foil card.

TV Guide got a first look at the brand new Ro-Bear Berbils from the upcoming Thundercats Episode 9: Berbils. the episode airs thsi Friday at 8:30 PM EST on Cartoon Network. Here’s a coupel of snippets from the article…
Fans of the original ThunderCats series will recognize the Berbils immediately. “When deciding to bring the Berbils back we agreed to not change their design or personality too much as they were some of the most memorable characters in the original ThunderCats universe,” producer Ethan Spaulding tells TVGuide.com. “The appeal of the Ro-Bear Berbils is their unassuming look — cute, furry, robotic teddy bears — and their robotic voices. They look cute but are actually great builders and help the ThunderCats in many ways.”

Although the Berbils’ basic design hasn’t changed, there are minor differences to the Berbils 2.0 upgrade. “We did update them a bit as there are different-sized Berbils now as well as kid Berbils,” says Spaulding. “The new Berbils also have the ability to transform into balls to help them roll away from danger.” That sounds handy for Third Earth!

Comcast and DirecTV guides both confirm what we had known for a bit…The Thundercats return with new episodes starting next Friday! October 28th will see Episode 9 “Berbils” air at 8:30 PM EST on Cartoon Network. As the title implies, the new episode will see the return of the Ro-Bear Berbils.

The very first DVD for the Thundercats 2011 has been released. The Thundercats Season 1 Book 1 DVD contains the first 8 episodes.
While the MSRP is $19.99, it can be found for as little as $13.99 on Amazon.
Warner Bros. has provided us with the official title for Thundercats episode 11. It will be titled “The War Forgers“. This matches up with various episode title leaks out there. No other info was provided.

In an interview with MTV Geek at PowerCon, veteran Thundercats voice actor Larry Kenney teased a Thundercats 2-minute short. The short, he says, revolves around a young King Claudus and a baby Lion-O with Snarf. That’s all he revealed. However, there are numerous video interviews with Kenney, check them out below.
