Thundercats Burger King Commercial From The 80’s

Posted on September 28, 2011 at 9:48 am by Joe Moore under Site Updates

Check out this hilarious commercial from the 1980’s. It for Thundercats Kids Meals at Burger King. You could score awesome Thundercats merchandise like a light switch cover or a Thundercats reusable cup. Was that too sarcastic? Anyway, check it out below.

I actually don't understand the sarcasm. The commercial is pretty cool, and what kid wouldn't want to have a Thundercats light switch cover or a Thundercats cup to drink from? They may not be toys, but they're at least functional.

If, as a kid, I got a light switch cover in a kids meal, I'd have just handed it back and said "keep it".

Me too, but my mother resently gave my son a TMNT BK kid's meal toy, a Raphael toothbrush holder "toy," so may be mistaken; i probably would have gladly accepted--I was crazy about the turtles back then. Toys these days in happy/kids's meal sets are much better now than 20+ years ago.

I had the snarf and the lightswitch. never remembered where they came from. I would buy a happy meal for a snarf straw now I think.
