Warner Brothers has released promotional images for tomorrows Thundercats season finale (and quite possibly, series finale). Check them out by reading on, and the brief description below.
In the season finale, Mumm-Ra’s forces find the ThunderCats and the Tech Stone in Avista City. An incredible battle ensues for the stone as Lion-O finds himself betrayed by a trusted ally.
The penultimate episode of Thundercats Season 1 saw the introduction of the Vultures. It also revealed the location of the Tech Stone the team had been searching for. But relieving these tech savvy Vultures of their prized possession proves more difficult thatn they had anticipated.

Thundercats is at a cross roads right now. The brand is barely holding on, the show may not return and the toys have seen sparse shelf space and extremely poor distribution. Non-toy merchandise has seen an extremely slow trickle, with very little in the way to excite fans and kids. So when I ask, “Should Thundercats Be Saved?”, I solely mean this particular iteration of the classic franchise and not the brand as a whole.
Now, don’t get me wrong here…Thundercats, as a brand, can be a very powerful name. Thundercats (as a brand) can and should be in the market. But only if handled correctly; With respect by all involved, a dedicated master toy license holder willing to keep the line fresh and in people’s minds.
I’m going to take a look at 5 reasons why this current iteration absolutely should be saved and should continue on. But I’m also going to list 5 reasons why it might be best to cut their losses and start over. Read on to see what I’ve come up with.
Lion-O runs into an old acquaintance who may be able to help out with unlocking the secrets of the Book of Omens. But their quest is sidetracked by The Soul Sever who wants the secrets of the book for his own purposes.

The Thundercats come upon a colony of dogs. They find that a cat, working as a slave warrior in “The Pit”, survived the attack on Thundera. While Lion-O attempts to free her, he learns that he may not be the savior he hoped to be.
